I can't tell you how proud I am of these two men. Even though neither one of them got their hands raised after their fights Saturday, they both showed their hearts in full display.
Patrick fought what looked like Ivan Drago's twin brother in an amazing back and forth battle that went 1-1 going into rd 3 and lost a decision. Patrick has now decided that he will never do 170 again..LOL
Ryan's opponent unexpectedly brought in a ton of boxing experience and thought he was going to KO Ryan quickly. Ryan stood toe to toe with his opponent and never backed down or went down. Even though Ryan lost every round, he showed what he was made of.
Both fighters and their opponents earned standing ovations from the appreciative crowd. Thank you to the coaches and fighters of the other teams and to COGA for having us on your great event. - Coach
Patrick and Ryan will be fighting at the Point Casino in Kingston, WA. Patrick will be fighting MMA and Ryan will be fighting in a kickboxing bout. Both fighters are facing fighters that will also be making their debuts. There are 10 bouts scheduled for the event, including 3 professional and 2 title bouts. If you can make it, come cheer on the boys!
Congrats to Carson on winning his MMA debut in just 30 seconds at the Friday Night Fights! Carson won his bout in :30 seconds!
C3's own Miranda "Danger" Granger took a unanimous decision win over previously undefeated British Muay Thai champion, Lindsey Holmes in a five round bout at the AX Fighting event. Miranda is the 1st World champion to be crowned by longest running event in Washington state.
This great video interview gives us an inside look at the fight:
Brandon Todd enters as the dark horse again in a 8-man tournament. This time the event is submission only instead of his last 8-man MMA tournament victory. We wish him the best of luck as he steps in with some of the Northwest's best grapplers!
The next session of Coach Sally's Boot Camp starts on Nov. 9th with sign ups starting on Oct. 10th. you can get more information by visiting .
C3 fighters Chris Garcia and Tycen Lynn both competed at the beautiful Snoqualamie casino for Combat Game's Rumble at the Ridge.
Tycen's fight was over in a little less than a minute. Tycen got up from an early takedown and delivered a knee to his opponent's mid section that sent him to the canvas. After a little ground and pound, the referee stopped the fight at 1:13 of round 1.
Although Chris didn't come out victorious in his return to the cage, he was involved in the fight of the night. Chris was stopped in the second round after an all out war with a very game opponent.
Chris was able to win the first round with take downs and ground control but wasn't able to finish his opponent. Chris's opponent came out strong for round 2 and was able to avoid the clinch and takedowns and deliver some strong punches to earn the win.

Congrats to C3 students Joey Hudson and Carson Jackson on their performances at NAGA (North American Grappling Association) this last weekend. Joey earned his first NAGA belt for winning the expert division and Carson added a 3rd Samurai Sword to his growing trophy case. (NAGA gives out samurai swords for 1st place finishes.) We would also like to give a special shout out to Brandon "The Missing Link" Todd for coaching these two young warriors to victory as coach Charlie was away at a wedding. Our team is awesome!
